FHH Project Supervisor
Job Summary
AFGA seeks a FHH Project Supervisor with a strong background in health-related projects, particularly in leading and supervisory roles. The supervisor will lead and manage the project's technical and operational staff at the provincial level, ensuring the effective implementation of project activities in line with the work plan. This role includes developing capacity-building action plans, analyzing project effectiveness, and coordinating with local authorities for smooth project execution.
Specific Responsibilities
Project Management
- Oversee the implementation of project activities in target areas and communities.
- Supervise medicine supply, RMNCAH services through FHHs, and mental health activities at the provincial level.
- Allocate resources effectively to related activities and interventions.
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure accurate implementation at the community level.
- Track target achievements for FHH and other health services, addressing gaps and preparing action plans.
- Handle administrative duties and liaise with relevant departments.
- Develop and submit required project reports in coordination with the AFGA M&E team to the provincial HMIS department.
Coordination
- Represent AFGA in health services-related meetings and coordination platforms (e.g., PMDC, RMNCAH).
- Attend regional humanitarian coordination meetings to ensure AFGA's visibility.
- Participate in internal meetings to present the AFGA Jawzjan sub-office.
- Process the submission of 6-month project reports to the provincial health and economy department.
Financial Management
- Support the development of the project budget plan.
- Regularly track budget expenditure to prevent under and overspending.
- Verify financial requests and documents to ensure compliance with AFGA policy and project donor requirements.
Job Requirements
Education
- Graduated from a recognized medical university with completion of the MoPH exit exam (if applicable).
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing health-related projects, particularly BPHS and RMNCAH projects.
- Prior experience managing health projects at the provincial level, especially familiar with the FHH project.
Skills
- Strong communication, supervision, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office for document creation (plans, reports, graphs).
- Strong English writing skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites at the community level.
- Capacity for stakeholder analysis and project supervision.
- Experience developing project budget plans based on needs and budget availability.
Additional Preferences
- Experience working on humanitarian assistance projects is a plus.
- Priority will be given to local candidates.

About Hospital:
AFGA is in the process of establishment of a 20-bed hospital in Kabul, aimed at providing quality Reproductive Health services to mothers and newborns. The hospital will be fully equipped with modern medical equipment, facilities and staffed by experts.
As part of a long-term development plan, hospital services will continuously expand, serving as the central hub for AFGA outreach and small Service Delivery Points (SDPs) to refer patients needing advanced care. The hospital will adhere to national and international standards for patient safety and quality service, ensuring it meets the needs of target communities.
