Finance Manager
Job Summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization with a strong focus on cost control, expense management, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role ensures that the company’s resources are used efficiently, costs are monitored and reduced where possible, and profitability is maximized while maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cost Control Strategies: Develop, implement, and monitor effective cost control strategies across all departments.
- Budget Management: Prepare, review, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Expense Tracking: Track, monitor, and report all company expenses against budgets and forecasts.
- Cost-Saving Opportunities: Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to management.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor procurement and operational expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Internal Controls: Establish strong internal controls to prevent waste, fraud, and misuse of funds.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and provide insights for corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to control costs and improve efficiency.
- Financial Reporting: Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Strategic Support: Support senior management with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Team Management: Manage and guide the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in financial management, cost control, or expense management roles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, MS Excel, etc.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Detail Orientation: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
