Guard
Job Summary
The Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and the facility. including verifying visitor and vehicle identities, managing traffic, and providing assistance as needed. Reporting to the Admin Manager, the Guard is expected to maintain a professional appearance and uphold the organization’s values. Additional tasks include monitoring surveillance systems, keeping activity logs, and promptly reporting any security incidents. Regular participation in security training is also required, and moreover, he is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrol the compound ensuring the safety and security of the offices, equipment, vehicles, and staff
- Manage the access of vehicles to the compound ensuring proper inspection is complete
- Prevent visitors and staff members who are carrying weapons and other harsh objects into the compound.
- Inspect all incoming mail and packages and report immediately to the supervisor any suspicious package, bags, or envelopes
- Report for duties under the duty roster on a round-clock basis.
- On the night shift, ensure the office premises, equipment, and vehicle are secured and security lights are switched on, and carry out the patrolling of the compound on a regular basis.
- Work alternatively night and day shifts according to schedule if required.
- Office gate logbook and daily inspection report are maintained properly
- Coordinate and communicate all security-related issues on a regular basis with other Security Guards.
- Ensure that non-staff personnel are not admitted to the Office at any time unless clearance is provided by the specific staff
- Immediately advise management of any suspicious activity or any event that represents a security risk to staff, equipment, vehicles, or compound
- Direct visitors to register their details upon entering the compound
- Deal politely and professionally with visitors, staff, and colleagues
- Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involve Organization and its officials.
- Perform any other relevant duties as required and directed by the supervisor
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or at least can read and write
- At least received security training
- Must have at least 4 years of experience in an NGO, public or private entity.
- Have good communication skills, speaking Pashto, Dari and sound knowledge of English language
- Ability to work well with others as individuals and in a group.
- Ability to understand and follow the government traffic rules and regulations
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Must be punctual, responsible, and trustworthy

The foundation facilitated the admission of orphaned and underprivileged children into public and government schools and closely monitored their progress. However, initially, the foundation faced financial constraints and limited resources.
Through the hard work of its employees and the support of Afghan individuals both within the country and abroad, Atta Welfare Foundation expanded its services within a year. Today, the foundation operates across the country, aiming to uplift impoverished communities lacking basic resources for a decent living.

Atta Welfare Foundation is a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to serving humanity, particularly vulnerable individuals and orphans, in areas such as education, healthcare, water and sanitation, food security, employment, and livelihood support.
Areas of Work:
Initially operating in Nangarhar province, the Atta Welfare Foundation has now expanded its reach to other provinces in Afghanistan. The foundation's work encompasses food relief programs, healthcare support, education initiatives, employment assistance, the construction of wells and mosques, and other essential services. Atta Welfare Foundation believes that every act of charity contributes to a step towards heavenly blessings.
