Job Summary

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis, with a strong emphasis on tax compliance and management. Your role is vital in ensuring the financial health and stability of our company, supporting our construction and property management projects. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, providing regular updates and contributing to the development of financial strategies and planning efforts.


Duties & Responsibilities

·       Oversee and manage daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and tax management specific to construction projects.

·       Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with industry regulations.

·       Monitor financial performance and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of project-related finances.

·       Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and site supervisors to ensure accurate financial tracking of materials, labor, and expenses.

·       Develop and manage financial budgets for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.

·       Implement and monitor performance metrics to evaluate financial productivity and identify areas for improvement in project execution.

·       Ensure compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate and organized financial records related to construction activities.

·       Address any financial discrepancies that arise and implement corrective actions as necessary.

·       Manage tax-related activities, including preparation, filing, and compliance with local regulations.

·       Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities associated with construction projects.

·       Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the construction industry.

·       Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional development among financial staff.

·       Provide regular reports and updates to the Finance Manager and collaborate on financial strategy and planning for upcoming construction projects.


Job Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or ACCA qualification preferred.

·       Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the construction industry.

·       Proven experience in managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting for construction projects.

·       Strong knowledge of financial operations, budgeting, and reporting.

·       Proficient in financial management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·       Proficient in English and local languages, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
