Job Description: Beneficiary Verification Officer
Job Summary
The Beneficiary Verification Officer will play a key role in the project by ensuring that selected beneficiaries meet the eligibility criteria and are correctly verified before receiving any assistance. This position involves verifying beneficiary information, ensuring that all documents and forms are accurately completed, and assisting in resolving any discrepancies or issues with the beneficiary data. The Beneficiary Verification Officer will collaborate with other field staff to ensure that the verification process is smooth and efficient, ensuring that only eligible beneficiaries are selected in accordance with project guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Eligibility Verification: Verify the eligibility of beneficiaries by checking their information and comparing it with the established selection criteria.
- Document Cross-Check: Cross-check documents submitted by beneficiaries to ensure they meet the project’s requirements.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Ensure that beneficiaries' personal and family information is accurately recorded.
- Beneficiary Guidance: Assist beneficiaries in understanding the verification process and provide guidance as needed.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in beneficiary data to the supervisor or relevant team members.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with surveyors and other field staff to ensure that beneficiaries are correctly selected and verified according to the established criteria.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of verified beneficiaries.
- Support in Distribution: Provide support in preparing beneficiary lists and assisting in the distribution of tokens or aid.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve any issues or complaints related to beneficiary verification in a timely manner.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor, including helping with data collection or other administrative tasks.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in beneficiary verification, data entry, or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of data.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain processes to beneficiaries.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive beneficiary data with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Cultural Respect: Respect for local customs, cultures, and traditions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve discrepancies and issues efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Digital Proficiency: Proficient in using digital tools for data collection, entry, and record-keeping.
