Job Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and service delivery of the branch. This role ensures that all banking activities comply with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and the bank’s strategic objectives. The Branch Manager leads and guides branch staff, drives business growth, enhances customer experience, and safeguards operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Supervise daily transactions and manage branch sales and deposit growth.

·       Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with audit standards.

·       Resolve complex customer issues and prepare performance reports.

·       Monitor risks, develop staff capabilities, and foster a professional, service-oriented environment.

This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, financial expertise, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while upholding the bank’s values and operational standards.


Duties & Responsibilities

·       Seek opportunities for branch business development within the related area.

·       Head the expansion into new markets and continue growth among existing clients.

·       Build relationships with existing clients to increase their current spending.

·       Drive peak performance and sales success across the branch area.

·       Ensure all administration for sales is completed effectively.

·       Achieve approved business targets related to the branch for the financial year.

·       Report on sales progress regularly.

·       Visit new customers daily.

·       Attend events and conferences with prior approval from the line manager.

·       Build a strong network with local businessmen.

·       Maintain and retain existing customers of the branch.

·       Identify sales opportunities in the market.

·       Act as a key contact for large customer accounts.

·       Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to the line manager.

·       Enhance the brand image of Ghazanfar Bank in the branch area.

·       Monitor customer transactions closely for retention purposes.

·       Assess customer needs and satisfaction with Ghazanfar Bank services.

·       Market the branch within the community to attract business.

·       Manage and oversee all banking policies, procedures, and processes.

·       Maintain and care for branch assets.

·       Monitor employee behavior, attitude, and knowledge level.

·       Build employee capacity and respond to official letters from NGOs and NPOs in coordination with the Operations Department.

·       Increase the number of bank accounts.

·       Conduct inspections and general control of the branch, employees, and guest house.

·       Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the line manager.


Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

·       Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred.

·       Certifications in banking, financial management, or leadership (e.g., Certified Branch Manager) are an advantage.

Experience Required:

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

·       Proven experience in retail banking, customer relationship management, and team leadership.

·       Familiarity with banking regulations, risk management, and financial performance analysis.

Competencies Required:

·       Strong understanding of banking products, financial management, and revenue generation strategies.

·       Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships by delivering superior service.

·       Skilled in managing branch operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high service standards.

·       Proficiency in analyzing financial data, market trends, and branch performance metrics.

·       Ability to make informed and effective decisions under pressure.

·       Strong ability to identify challenges and implement solutions effectively.

12. Maintaining and retaining the existing customers of the branch.

13. Identifying sales opportunities in the market.

14. Acting as a key contact for large customer accounts.

15. Providing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly report to the line manager.

16. Making the brand image of GB in the related branch area.

17. Monitoring customer’s transaction closely for purpose of customer retention.

18. Seeking customers need and satisfactions from GB services.

19. Growing banks number of accounts.

20. Marketing branch within the community to attract business.

21. Managing and oversees all banking policies, procedures and process.

22. Any other responsibility which will be assign by line manager.

23. Must manage the internal controls of the Branch properly and in line with the policies and procedures of the Bank.

24. To ensure that all the Bank Operational and other related Manuals and circulars are strictly followed.

25. To ensure that all the directives with regards to Anti Money Laundering are strictly observed and reporting about suspicious and large transactions is made to the respective department timely and accurately.

26. To ensure that Key Registers for the Vault and Safe Keys are properly maintained and updated.

 

27. Must ensure that the Branch always remain complied to all the rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines provided by the management through CEO, COO or Compliance Department. Must also ensure that all the required statements/returns from the Branch are submitted to the concerned departments accurately and within the given time frame.
