Civil Engineer (Re-announced)
Job Summary
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil engineering aspects of our projects. This role requires expertise in civil engineering, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage and supervise multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cost Management: Ensure all operations are carried out in a cost-effective and appropriate manner.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor and control subcontractors and reporting staff, ensuring compliance with site requirements.
- Scope Verification: Check the scope of works and contracts of subcontractors to align with site requirements.
- Bill Preparation: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) as per design drawings and specifications for procurement purposes.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.
- Billing Verification: Verify the accuracy of contractor bills and claims.
- Progress Tracking: Track project progress against target schedules and inform senior management.
- Meeting Documentation: Prepare agendas and minutes of meetings.
- Resource Planning: Plan and control resources to achieve project schedules.
- Site Supervision: Supervise site activities according to execution details and drawings, measuring and quantifying works as per actual execution.
- Activity Planning: Plan and supervise sequential activities of works.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve site issues in consultation with structural, MEP, and architectural consultants.
- Reporting: Prepare progress reports and maintain site records for client reference.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all execution activities meet desired quality standards.
- Drawing Preparation: Check and prepare necessary drawings using AutoCAD.
- Construction Management: Manage and direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at the project site.
- Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best contracts.
- Design Proposals: Prepare shop drawings and design proposals to meet project requirements.
- Document Control: Archive and control revisions of design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documents.
- MEP Coordination: Coordinate electrical and MEP works during site execution.
- Safety Monitoring: Monitor and optimize safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Dynamics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) effectively.
- Communication Skills: Maintain strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of construction industry rules and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
