Cleaner
Job Summary
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and a safe environment within the premises by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring all areas are kept to the required standard.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General Cleaning: Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Waste Management: Empty waste bins, dispose of trash, and ensure proper waste segregation.
- Sanitization: Sanitize frequently touched surfaces to maintain hygiene and reduce health risks.
- Surface Cleaning: Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and furniture as required.
- Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Equipment Management: Ensure cleaning equipment is used, stored, and maintained properly.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of safe cleaning methods and the use of cleaning chemicals.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and long periods of standing or moving.
Work Conditions
- May involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, or shift work depending on the workplace.
- Work may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
