Job Summary

The English Trainer at the Muslim English Language Institute (MELI) will be responsible for creating a conducive and supportive learning environment for students. The primary goal of this position is to help students achieve their predetermined learning goals by teaching the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The English Trainer will implement the standard methodology and course materials of MELI in classes.

Responsibilities

• Create a Positive Learning Environment: Maintain a professional atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Train Students: Educate students on MELI teaching principles and maintain standard methodologies.
• Set Standards: Lead by example in conduct, work ethic, integrity, and character.
• Effective Training Delivery: Utilize effective methodologies to motivate trainees in both group and individual settings.
• Program Management: Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs aligned with organizational needs.
• Diverse Training Techniques: Employ various training methodologies, techniques, and learning tools as directed by MELI management.
• Training Needs Assessment: Conduct assessments to support the design and delivery of training programs.
• Monitor Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of all training programs.
• Substitute for Absences: Fill in for absent trainers as needed.
• Flexible Schedule: Work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate training schedules.
• Teach Language Skills: Instruct students in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and syntax.
• Prepare Lesson Plans: Organize and deliver lectures, assess student participation, and manage classes effectively.
• Conduct Assessments: Administer quizzes and tests to evaluate student progress.
• Train Other Teachers: Provide training to fellow instructors if required.
• Attend Meetings: Participate in discussions regarding student needs and progress.
• Implement MELI Methodology: Adhere to MELI's exclusive teaching methodologies.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by mutual consultation and agreement.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant training experience.
• Certifications: Certification in English language training is mandatory.
• Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
• Engagement: Ability to engage and connect with students effectively.
• Energetic Training Style: Highly energetic with a motivational approach to training.
• Personality: Cheerful and confident in engaging with people.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Reliability: Flexible and reliable, demonstrating ownership in all aspects.
• Language Proficiency: Full command over all four skills of the English language.
• Teaching Methods: Ability to demonstrate diverse teaching methods and deliver well-planned lessons.
• Planning Skills: Capability to plan precise lesson plans.
• Understanding Student Psychology: Knowledge of student psychology and the ability to meet their requirements.
• Age Diversity: Ability to teach both young and adult learners.
• Knowledge Transfer: Skill in transferring knowledge smoothly and effectively.
• Class Management: Proficient in managing and controlling classroom dynamics.
• Facilitation Skills: Ability to facilitate learning effectively.
• National Languages: Command of both national languages (Dari & Pashto).
