Job Summary

 

 

The mechanic is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown of generators (Mainly diesel engines), he should be able to do the below-mentioned tasks in a technical and skilled manner and take care of a standard safety system.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all generators per his supervisor's daily work schedule.
  • Be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel generators ranging from 9 KVA to 1000 KVA.
  • Be able to do maintenance of sites, fill out the form, and report to his supervisor.
  • Be able to do preventive maintenance for all types of generators (Changing oil, changing fuel filter/oil filter/air filter, and checking all of the sensors and fuel quantity).
  • Be able to travel to the job site.
  • Work on shifts according to a shift schedule if required.
  • Perform other related duties as required like site down repairing DG in the site (changing Parts).
  • Must have good work habits and be able to work with other mechanics, technicians, and staff as part of the team.
  • Sound understanding of generator mechanical systems and hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge about observing engine systems (how it works?).
  • Be able to work at power containers with generators' systems and fuel pipes.
  • Be able to follow safety standards in working with generators' systems and tools.
  • Be familiar with changing parts and repairing engines on the site if necessary.
  • Be able to work and complete his assignment per his supervisor's instruction.
  • Be able to estimate necessary materials and tools as per the required plan and follow the plan accordingly.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 12th Grade with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of mechanical.
  • Should follow the company's policies and rules.
  • Respect the company sub-contractors, and vendors and have good relations with vendors.
  • Should have an interest in technical training programs to improve his technical knowledge.
  • Should be able to do a proper job with fewer possible expenses.
