Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative Mechanical Engineer with strong Mechatronics skills to work and contribute to all product stages, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. The goal is to design and fabricate innovative mechanical components that embody excellence and ingenuity, integrating seamlessly with electronic and control systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the complete product development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and deployment.
• Design and develop systems and components that precisely meet specified needs and performance criteria, incorporating mechatronic principles.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure mechanical systems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Utilize CAD/CAM/CAE software to create detailed drawings, specifications, designs and models, considering factors such as manufacturability, assembly, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with electrical, electronic, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate multidisciplinary systems.
• Evaluate materials and select appropriate components for mechanical systems, considering factors such as performance, durability, and cost.
• Generate technical documentation including drawings, specifications, design concepts, sketches, reports and test plans to outline project direction.
• Conduct systematic experiments, analyze data, and derive meaningful insights, considering both mechanical and electronic aspects.
• Test and assess theoretical designs to ensure feasibility and efficiency across mechanical and mechatronic domains.
• Innovate and troubleshoot to develop effective solutions for emerging challenges, leveraging interdisciplinary knowledge.
• Adapt and refine designs as necessary to address requirements and resolve issues, maintaining a holistic approach.
• Estimate project budgets and scopes accurately, considering both mechanical and electronic components.
• Prepare comprehensive product reports and documentation, detailing mechanical and mechatronic design aspects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, engage in continuous learning, and pioneer new methodologies in mechatronics and mechanical engineering.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of proven experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on product development and design.
• Strong proficiency in mechatronics principles, with a track record of integrating mechanical and electronic systems effectively.
• Proficiency in product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
• Proficient use of engineering analysis tools like ANSYS, ProMechanica, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM softwares (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, SolidCAM, NX, CATIA, Pro E, DraftSight Mechanical, or equivalent).
• Strong mathematical computing skills using tools such as MathCAD, Matlab, Phyton, Excel, LabView, etc.
• Sound understanding of core engineering principles encompassing mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results methodically.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to generate innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering such as ASME, ISO.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and lifelong learning, with a demonstrated ability to develop new theories or methods to enhance product development processes.
