Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations across e-commerce platforms and other business functions of the organization. This role ensures smooth execution of order fulfillment, logistics, customer service, inventory management, and cross-departmental coordination. The manager will focus on operational efficiency, process improvement, and delivering excellent customer experiences while supporting the company’s growth strategy. This role ensures that processes are efficient, resources are managed effectively, and operational goals are achieved in line with company strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Plan, direct, and oversee operational activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze performance metrics, ensuring quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational issues and bottlenecks.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with senior management to set strategic goals and translate them into operational plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on operational performance and areas of improvement.
  • E-commerce Management: Manage end-to-end e-commerce operations, including order processing, shipping, returns, and after-sales support.
  • Platform Integration: Oversee e-commerce platform integrations, vendor relationships, and online marketplace compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor product listings, pricing, promotions, and online performance metrics.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and product launches.
  • Supervision: Supervise day-to-day operational activities across departments (finance, HR, logistics, administration, etc.).
  • Inventory Management: Ensure effective inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain optimization.
  • SOP Implementation: Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze business processes and recommend strategies for productivity, profitability, and scalability.
  • Staff Development: Lead, train, and mentor operational staff, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Collaboration: Foster cross-functional collaboration between departments for seamless business operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop performance metrics and generate operational reports for senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management or a similar role.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multitasking Ability: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and ERP systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Amazon, etc.).
