Site Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a well-organized and highly skilled Site Engineer with strong leadership abilities to join our expanding team. The Site Engineer will be responsible for managing various aspects of construction projects, supervising crew members, preparing time and material cost estimates, ensuring quality assurance, and adhering to health and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves compiling detailed reports for various stakeholders and coordinating with different professionals to develop work schedules that meet project deadlines.
The ideal candidate will maintain a professional appearance and consistently uphold the organization's values. Furthermore, the Site Engineer will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing different phases of construction projects to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Supervising and directing the activities of on-site personnel, ensuring that tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
- Preparing accurate estimates for time and material costs to aid in budgeting and resource allocation.
- Conducting thorough quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Observing and enforcing health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
- Compiling and presenting detailed reports to various stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to coordinate project activities and timelines.
- Creating and managing work schedules that align with project deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Ensuring that construction sites are safe, clean, and well-organized.
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and ensuring the availability of necessary materials and tools.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure the best contracts and terms.
- Reviewing and authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Developing work schedules and communicating any necessary adjustments to crew members and clients.
- Gathering project data, compiling comprehensive reports, and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Delegating tasks effectively and scheduling meetings and training sessions as required.
- Completing quality assurance checks and providing constructive feedback to the team.
- Ensuring the effective use of materials and resources, minimizing waste wherever possible.
- Maintaining thorough project documentation related to site engineering activities.
- Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, that involve the Organization and its officials.
- Perform any other relevant duties as required and directed by the supervisor
Job Requirements
- BSc/BA in engineering, building construction, civil engineering or relevant field
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
- 7 years of proven work experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods and principles to effectively supervise and participate in site activities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to diagnose and solve issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Clear and concise communication skills to liaise effectively with construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring that all understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Ability to use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and other relevant software used in the construction industry.
- Good understanding and compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all workers on site.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Must be punctual, responsible, and trustworthy

Through the hard work of its employees and the support of Afghan individuals both within the country and abroad, Atta Welfare Foundation expanded its services within a year. Today, the foundation operates across the country, aiming to uplift impoverished communities lacking basic resources for a decent living.
Mission:
Atta Welfare Foundation is a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to serving humanity, particularly vulnerable individuals and orphans, in areas such as education, healthcare, water and sanitation, food security, employment, and livelihood support.
Areas of Work:
Initially operating in Nangarhar province, the Atta Welfare Foundation has now expanded its reach to other provinces in Afghanistan. The foundation's work encompasses food relief programs, healthcare support, education initiatives, employment assistance, the construction of wells and mosques, and other essential services. Atta Welfare Foundation believes that every act of charity contributes to a step towards heavenly blessings.
