Finance Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead the development and consolidation of organizational budgets and forecasts.
· Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
· Conduct variance analysis and trend reviews to assess financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
· Oversee preparation of financial statements for individual entities and consolidated group reports.
· Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of accounting records in line with statutory requirements.
· Manage vendor payment processes, including internet banking and documentation verification.
· Ensure accurate tax calculations, timely filings, and adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
· Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and donor rules.
· Strengthen internal controls, verify documentation, and review authorization processes before payment execution.
· Coordinate with auditors and facilitate external/internal audits.
· Monitor and manage daily cash flows and liquidity positions.
· Liaise with local and international banks to ensure effective banking operations and optimize cash management.
· Lead implementation and enhancement of accounting systems to support accurate bookkeeping and financial operations.
· Develop, implement, and monitor finance, procurement, and liquidity policies.
· Supervise and mentor finance staff to enhance departmental capacity and performance.
Job Requirements
· Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACCA Finalist preferred.
· Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 2 years in a Managerial role.
· Strong experience in budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
· Proven experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement.
· In-depth understanding of national regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
· Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
