Job Summary
The Trainer is responsible for developing, facilitating, and conducting training programs for employees to enhance their Islamic banking skills, knowledge, and performance. This role includes delivering a range of topics, focusing on Islamic banking and finance principles, customer service, banking operations, AAOIFI Standards, and regulatory compliance. The Trainer ensures that all employees are equipped with the necessary tools to meet personal performance goals and the bank's objectives while adhering to Islamic finance guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Design and Develop Training Programs: Create and update comprehensive training programs covering general banking practices and specific modules on Islamic banking and finance.
· Customize Training Materials: Tailor training materials to meet the unique needs of various departments, including frontline staff, customer service teams, and operational units.
· Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions focusing on key banking functions, product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and Islamic banking principles.
· Specialized Training on Islamic Financial Products: Provide training on products such as Murabaha, Mudarabah, Ijarah, and Takaful, ensuring a solid understanding of Sharia-compliant operations.
· Assess Training Needs: Collaborate with department heads to identify skills gaps and create targeted training programs to address them.
· Continuous Learning Opportunities: Offer refresher courses and updates on new Islamic banking products and regulations.
· Develop Evaluation Methods: Create tests, quizzes, and practical assessments to measure trainees' understanding and application of banking concepts.
· Gather Feedback: Collect feedback from participants and department heads to improve training programs and delivery techniques.
Compliance & Regulatory Training
· Adhere to Regulations: Ensure all training programs comply with the latest banking regulations and Islamic finance laws.
· Collaborate with Compliance Department: Incorporate regulatory updates into training materials.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of all training sessions, attendance, and assessment results.
· Report Effectiveness: Provide reports on the effectiveness of training programs to management and suggest improvements.
Job Requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Banking (Islamic Banking), Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
· Certification or formal education in Islamic banking.
Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar training role within the banking sector.
Skills
· Strong understanding of Islamic banking principles and products.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to simplify complex concepts, particularly in Islamic finance.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in both traditional and modern training methodologies.
· Comprehensive knowledge of banking operations, customer service, and compliance.
· In-depth understanding of Sharia-compliant products and services.
· Fluent in Dari, Pashto, Arabic, and English.
· Ability to adapt training methods to meet diverse learners' needs.
