Job Description
· Receive vaccines, cold chain commodities, IEC materials, and reporting formats/registers/cards from REMT/PEMT regularly based on the needs of the BHC catchment area population and target groups.
· Conduct vaccine administration sessions in the SHC catchment area for all target mothers and children on a regular basis.
· Ensure that the accuracy and quality of all field immunization activities are maintained and reported (EPI registers, clients’ cards & other reporting formats) on time to REMT/PEMT and the CARE sub-office.
· Stay updated on the national EPI guidelines/policies regarding the immunization program.
· Regularly report to PEMT/REMT regarding vaccines, cold chain commodities, and data, including proper storage and inventory of all items received and utilized.
· Maintain a specific focus on the quality of vaccines through proper follow-up of EPI recommendations for cold chain management in the field.
· Prepare and maintain the immunization micro plan according to the SHC fixed and outreach plan to reach all eligible mothers and children on time.
· Organize vaccination sessions according to the BHC fixed and outreach plan for all catchment area populations.
· Organize/conduct regular health education sessions during fieldwork and disseminate health messages regarding immunization to clients and communities.
· Maintain close coordination with local community elders/stakeholders and volunteers to ensure motivation and mobilization of local communities to participate in EPI activities.
· Register and report all vaccinated eligible mothers and children according to National EPI reporting formats/registers.
· Participate in EPI/polio mass campaigns and public awareness activities.
· Keep records of all EPI-related assets and cold chain commodities supplied by National EPI/UNICEF/Organization.
· Actively participate in community-based immunization awareness-raising programs.
· Undertake any other tasks assigned by the health facility in-charge.
Regular administration of all routine vaccines to all eligible under-five children and reproductive-age women under the catchment area of the target health facility.
Reporting all immunization services and vaccines administered to eligible clients, completing all EPI-related formats, vaccine cards, registers, and updating performance graphs in the target health facility, including outreach activities (for male vaccinators).
Organize health education and public awareness sessions for all clients and provide proper counseling to clients, caretakers, and communities in the health facility's target catchment area population.
Maintain close working coordination with HF staff, community health workers, other volunteers in the community, and EPI colleagues.
Actively involve in maintaining the cold chain for all vaccines and EPI commodities both at the health facility and during outreach activities according to UNICEF and National EPI policy and recommendations.

Job Requirements:
Education:
· At least 12th class graduation documents duly verified/certified by the concerned education department in the country. A bachelor's degree and diploma in medical sciences are preferable.
Experience:
· At least one year of experience in an immunization program executed at the BPHS level or a similar working/project context. More than one year of exclusive EPI job experience with a national EPI verified certificate for initial training on vaccination is preferred.
The vaccinator is expected to manage EPI and cold chain-related technical issues both at fixed health facility-based and outreach levels, including maintaining good working coordination with the local community and clients. For any conflict or issue beyond his/her level and scope of work, he will directly approach the CHS, HF in-charge/doctor, and field supervisor for guidance and support.
