Job Summary
The role involves analyzing, planning, and implementing VoLTE network optimization strategies and solutions to enhance the performance and quality of VoLTE networks.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage VoLTE Optimization Projects: Enhance network performance and user experience.
· Analyze and Troubleshoot: Resolve VoLTE and LTE network issues promptly, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.
· Conduct Field Tests: Perform drive tests/audits and analyze data to identify and resolve network issues, enhancing site/cell performance.
· Provide Technical Support: Offer guidance to junior engineers and stakeholders.
· Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement optimization strategies.
· Monitor KPIs: Analyze daily KPIs and traffic of VoLTE and LTE networks to ensure quality and performance.
· Fine-tune Features: Optimize VoLTE and LTE network parameters for peak performance.
· Daily Analysis: Conduct daily analysis of worst-performing cells, troubleshoot, and follow up for improvements.
· Utilize Optimization Tools: Proficient in the setup, utilization, and data processing of various design and optimization tools (e.g., Netnumen, U2020, TEMS, Actix, Atoll, Planet, MapInfo).
· Apply Optimization Techniques: Implement proper antenna selection, mechanical/electrical tilting, transmit power settings, neighbor list analysis, and interference analysis.
· Generate Reports: Create engineering-related reports for VoLTE and LTE.
· Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest technologies in VoLTE/LTE, industry trends, and optimization techniques.
Job Requirements
I. Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
II. Experience
· At least 2 years of continuous experience in VoLTE and 4G network optimization.
III. Competencies
· In-depth knowledge of radio network design, planning, optimization, and performance management principles and tools.
· Proficient in using radio network optimization software (e.g., TEMS, Nemo, Actix, Atoll, Mentum Planet).
· Experience with drive test data analysis and post-processing tools.
· Familiarity with radio network standards, protocols, and regulations (e.g., 3GPP, ITU, FCC).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions
· Flexible working hours, including weekends, and willingness to travel as needed.
