Job Summary
The Sales Department is established to develop revenue growth by acquiring new clients and selling products to existing and new clients and maximizing revenue opportunities across all products and services. The department will focus on identifying market opportunities and developing strategies to increase the bank's market share. The department aims to meet the financial needs of clients while adhering to regulatory requirements, upholding the highest ethical standards in all its dealings and maintaining the bank's reputation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To formulate and implement effective sales strategies aligned with the bank’s overall goals and improve revenue of the bank by maintaining good interpersonal relationship with clients and customers.
- The sales manager will conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and assess competitive positioning. As well should understand the current markets and provide market trend information to authorities.
- Actively engage with clients through meetings, presentations, and networking events to promote banking products ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- To promote AIB’s products and services to prospective clients through various channels and to achieve the sales target for the financial year.
- Track sales performance against targets, analyze results, and prepare regular reports for management. Ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Credit, CIB & BCB, Marketing, Compliance, Operations, E. Banking) to ensure a cohesive approach to sales.
- To Identify training needs for sales staff and facilitate ongoing professional development.
- Collect feedbacks from clients and report to the higher level for decision-making.
- Assist the business departments in formulating sales and distribution strategies prior to the launch of the services.
- Maintain operational records and reports properly.
- Come up with new ways to grow the bank’s products and services.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through tailored financial solutions and excellent service.
- Shall carry out any official work delegated by Line Manager.
Job Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Economic, Business Administration, Marketing Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Excellent in English and local languages, ability to work with Computer.
- Should be smart enough to explain product details to customers.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Experience (5+ years) in Sales, Business Development or Marketing Management preferably in Banking sector.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Comprehensive understanding of business banking products and services.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (Dari, Pashto, English).
- Ability to identify customer needs and suggest suitable solutions.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work and manage time.
- Decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proven Customer Service skills.
- A deep understanding of the product or service being sold.
- Negotiation skills.
