Job Description: ATM Hardware Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Kiosk and ATM Hardware Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of self-service kiosk and ATM machines. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with hardware components such as cash dispensers, cash deposit units, thermal printers, card readers, PIN pads, touch monitors, and system controllers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and configure kiosk and ATM machines according to technical specifications.
• Perform regular hardware diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, including component-level failures, mechanical jams, and communication errors.
• Work closely with the software and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, maintenance logs, and hardware configurations.
• Support inventory management of kiosk/ATM spare parts and tools.
• Provide on-site support during kiosk rollouts, upgrades, and relocations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and safety procedures.
• Offer technical training and guidance to field technicians or support staff when required.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience with ATM and/or kiosk hardware systems.
• Strong understanding of components such as cash deposit/dispense units, receipt printers, card readers, and PIN pads.
• Familiarity with embedded systems, hardware controllers, and peripheral device interfaces (USB, serial, etc.).
• Good troubleshooting skills and ability to perform hands-on repairs.
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and system software setup is a plus.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and hardware manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites or customer locations as needed.

Recruitment Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in the above-mentioned field.
• Experience working with vendors such as NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, Glory, or similar.
• Certifications in electronics or IT hardware support.
• Understanding of kiosk payment systems and peripheral device SDKs.
