Job Summary
The CCTV & IT Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance systems and IT infrastructure. This role ensures the security and operational efficiency of digital surveillance networks, computers, servers, and network equipment. Key duties include monitoring CCTV footage, managing data backups, providing IT support, maintaining cybersecurity measures, and ensuring system uptime. The technician must be adept in both hardware and software troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of networking, surveillance technologies, and general IT systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance:
· Monitor live feeds from security cameras to identify and report suspicious activities.
· Ensure all camera systems are operational and regularly maintained.
· Maintain logs and records of surveillance activity and incidents.
· Assist in reviewing and exporting recorded footage when required.
· Collaborate with security teams for emergency response and reporting.
IT Support Tasks:
· Provide basic troubleshooting support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
· Assist in the setup and configuration of hardware and software.
· Monitor network connectivity and report issues to the IT department.
· Install and update CCTV software and manage camera IP settings.
· Coordinate with the IT department for system upgrades or technical interventions.
Job Requirements
· Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar role.
· Knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, and surveillance software.
· Basic IT troubleshooting skills (Windows OS, printers, LAN/Wi-Fi).
· Ability to multitask, stay alert, and respond quickly to incidents.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in IT or CCTV is a plus.
