Job Description: Cashier

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Head Cashier or Branch Manager, the Cashier will be responsible for making daily transactions, maintaining the cash position, cash counting, and handling cash.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Cash Position Maintenance: Maintain an adequate cash position in the cash box.
2. Document Verification: Ensure that provided documents are correct and complete.
3. Banknote Checking: Properly check banknotes to distinguish fake banknotes.
4. Transaction Balancing: Balance daily transactions according to standard procedures.
5. Customer Identity Verification: Properly check clients’/customers’ identities.
6. Signature Comparison: Compare client signatures against registered authorizations.
7. Internal Transaction Scrutiny: Check and scrutinize internal cash transactions for proper authorizations.
8. End-of-Day Cash Counting: Properly count cash at the end of the day for closure.
9. Backup Support: Serve as a backup to the Head Cashier.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

1. Education: High School Graduation is a must; higher education will be preferred.
2. Experience: 1 year of experience related to the mentioned position.
3. System Familiarity: Familiarity with the Flex-Cube system will be an advantage.
4. Communication Skills: Good communication skills both oral and written in Dari, Pashto, and English.
5. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
6. Data Entry Skills: Fast data entry skills.
7. Accuracy and Flexibility: Strong accuracy and flexibility are required.
