Bank-e-Millie Afghan Bank-e- Millie Afghan (BMA) was the first financial institution established in Afghanistan in 1933. Similarly, it was the first financial institution established in a public private partnership set up with 72 percent share held by private sector. As a first bank in Afghanistan, BMA introduced formal banking services to the people and government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Since then, the banks competitive strength and ongoing market leadership philosophy lays in its strong capital base and proven trustworthiness. In 1976, it was fully nationalized by the government of Afghanistan. Since its establishment, BMA is a leading banking in providing modern and secure banking services. Securing depositors' funds is the top priority of the bank. At the same time, the bank is contributing considerably to the development of manufacturing, agriculture, services, and international trade in the country. BMA is operating based on strong corporate governance principles, financial risk management and strict compliance to keep its credibility and trust. BMA has 15 city branches in Kabul and 21 provincial branches and equity investments in United States of America and England. And it is celebrating its 84th years of fame.
• Bachelor or higher degree in computer science or Information Technology, and must have MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Redhat Linex and servers virtualiazation certifications
• Minimum 3-7 years of work experience in microft srever, linux and virtualiazation administration.
• Significant experience working with Active directory, DHCP, WSUS, IIS, Exchange server and file server.
• Strong knowledge of servers backup and recovery.
• Strong knowledge of working with Microsoft windows server 2019 ,2022, linux operating systems, Servers virtualiazation and replication of servers to DR Site .
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of internal information.
• Ability to work after official time.
System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading and providing reliable service and operation of computer systems and servers, system administrator is also responsible to actively solve problems and issues with computer and server systems to prevent disruptions to the BMA Banking system and servers.
Duties explanation:
1. Installs, configure and deploy server hardware , storages and software, including operating systems, applications, and patches to support and maintain effective system service operations throughout the BMA.
2. Installation, configuration and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux , Ubuntu Servers and Centos OS.
3. Installation, configuration and administrating of Apache, IIS, MySQL and other web hosting applications.
4. Installation, configuration and administrating of Activity Directory, DHCP, WSUS, security center (Kaspersky), file server, IIS and Exchange server (email server) management, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrade and maintenance.
5. Troubleshoots, reviews and block websites; performs a variety of duties related to filter management using Kaspersky security center.
6. Manages, deploys, configures, and maintains servers in a virtualized (Microsoft Hyper-v and vSphere Hypervisor) and testing and production environment.
7. Creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolve issues, and automate routine tasks.
8. Configuring systems for high availability including strategies for back-up and recovery, failover, load balancing, and full redundancy using Microsoft Hyper-v and vSPhere with DR site.
9. Installs server hardware and components such as disks, memory, and other components and tests changes to production systems.
10. Analyzes and resolves issues, gathers information to identify needs, and evaluates systems requirements.
11. Diagnoses and resolves complex software's, servers, and storages issues.
12. Maintenance of the BMA’s directory services infrastructure, including hardware's configuration and upgrades, groups architecture, accounts maintenance, and authentication for resources access.
13. Creates, and maintains written and verbal procedures; prepares written technical documentation, training material, standards, reports, and other documents as assigned. Human Resource Department
14. Evaluates systems and alternate solutions; develops functional specifications, standards, and requirements for hardware and software purchase and design to ensure optimum system and end-user performance; makes recommendations for required changes and providing more services.
15. Trains and provides guidance to BMA helpdesk personnel.
16. Provides general networking, computer, and other technology support as needed.
17. Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities; provide special reports as requested by various departments.
18. Perform any other system related tasks, assigned by the line manager.
